If you are looking for a brand-new accessory to add to your truck, look no further than a custom-made metal airhorn chain made by Grug.
Scott Benness is Grug and ACT caught up with him at the Alexandra Truck, Ute and Rod Show.
He said he originally started making wallets doing leather-work and says he worked out he just wasn’t very good at it.
“I saw the chains for the biker wallets and I started making them and thought maybe there may be a market for these to be used in trucks as air horn chains and I just went from there,” he tells ACT.
Scott is an interstate truck driver and works for Maxwell Freightlines and has been driving for 17 years.
The chains are made in his down time.
“I have two boys at home that are disabled, so there are a lot of stresses with being away from home six days a week and this is a bit of therapy, just a way to relax,” he says.
“I am hoping that these will go well in the market, it is just a matter of the word getting out and people telling their mates, and more of the chains getting out and about.”
The handmade chains are selling for $50 each, plus $11.35 for Express, tracked postage.
Cobra style weave fits Conventional style trucks.
If anyone would like to order a chain, please feel free to message Grug through Grug’s Custom Air Horn Chains on Facebook.
