Craig Cubitt named Daimler Truck Australia Pacific CEO

Craig Cubitt has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Daimler Truck Australia Pacific, effective 1 November 2026.
The appointment was announced by Daimler Truck ISEAA CEO Torsten Schmidt at the company’s Mulgrave, Victoria headquarters.
Cubitt has led Daimler Truck Financial Services as CEO since 2021 and brings more than 21 years of experience across the Daimler Truck and Mercedes-Benz group. His previous senior roles in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong include chief executive, chief financial officer and managing director positions.
His background spans financial services, commercial operations and business strategy. The regional business supports the Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner truck brands and their associated services in Australia and New Zealand.
Schmidt described Cubitt as an outstanding candidate and expressed confidence in his ability to build on the group’s regional strengths.
The leadership change takes effect next month.
