CMV Truck & Bus’s Dandenong team has handed over four new 535hp Mack Anthems to United Petroleum as part of a seven-truck fleet deal.
CMV says the four Anthems have been equipped for fuel-transport work, with Mack mDRIVE automated manual transmissions, Mack axles and Mack suspension.
Mack’s mDRIVE automates gear changes, taking account of the load and road conditions. The manufacturer says it monitors factors including vehicle weight, gradient and torque demand when managing shifts.
Each truck was fitted with a Spartan Engineering Solutions bullbar and a locally installed fuel-haul package supplied by Automotive Automation.
Automotive Automation describes its fuel-haul conversion services as covering hazardous-area electrical installations, exhaust shielding and thermal protection, battery isolation and earth bonding. Its work includes integrating vehicle electronics with fuel-handling equipment and controls.
Transport Wiring Solutions completed the electrical fit-out on the four trucks.
KoolKat bunk coolers supplied by TruckArt provide cooling in the sleeper cab for drivers’ rest breaks. TruckArt’s KoolKat range uses auxiliary batteries and a charger that replenishes them while the truck is driving.
The CMV Truck & Bus Dandenong Tech Centre completed the final local fit-out and preparation before handover.
