Directory Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Boss Creative Pty Ltd handles information for the Australian Custom Trucks (ACT) supplier directory, listing submissions and supplier billing accounts.
Information we collect and why
When you submit, claim or update a business listing, we collect the business details, representative’s name and contact details, requested changes, uploaded media and consent statements you provide. We use this information to check the request, confirm authority, maintain accurate listings and respond to you. Account details and records of claim review help us control access and record approvals.
We also compile directory information from public business sources and information supplied to ACT. A business email address can still identify a person, including a sole trader. Contact us if a listing contains personal information that should be corrected or reviewed.
What appears publicly
Approved business profiles and business contact details are public. Free listings can include a phone number, email address and website. A supplier request is reviewed before its submitted changes or media are approved for a listing. Do not place private home addresses, personal documents or other confidential information in fields intended for publication.
Approved uploaded images are available to website visitors. Remove location metadata or other private details from images before uploading, and submit only images you have permission to share.
Payments and Stripe
Stripe provides hosted checkout and billing-management pages. You enter card details on Stripe’s pages. ACT stores the customer, subscription and checkout identifiers, package, billing interval, payment status and paid-period information needed to manage listing benefits and resolve billing issues. ACT’s directory integration does not store full card numbers or card security codes.
Stripe handles payment information under its Privacy Policy. Payment information is processed through Stripe’s international services; it is not confined to ACT’s hosting location.
Directory interaction counts
When directory tracking is enabled, ACT records profile views and clicks on business website, email and phone links. These counts are used to assess directory activity and provide eligible suppliers with aggregate reports about their own listings. A click does not tell us what you said in a call or email and does not confirm a sale.
The directory counting system records the listing, action, date and a hashed request token. It does not store raw IP addresses or browser user-agent strings in its interaction-count records. It honours Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Hosting and security services separately receive network and browser information when serving requests.
Service providers and links
Hosting, payment and technical service providers process information needed to operate the directory and account services. Public directory information is available to visitors and search engines. Where disclosure is required by law, we may need to provide relevant records to an authorised recipient.
Stripe’s privacy information explains its international processing. This notice does not mean that all service providers store information only in Australia. Links to suppliers and third-party services lead to sites with their own privacy practices.
Cookies, retention and security
WordPress uses cookies for sign-in, account security and account preferences. You can manage cookies in your browser, although blocking essential cookies can prevent account access. Directory interaction reports should not be treated as a complete count of visitors.
We keep information needed for current listings, account administration, billing records, dispute handling and legal obligations. Requests for deletion are assessed against those purposes and any records we must retain. Account deletion does not automatically remove a factual public business listing; contact us to discuss that listing separately.
Access to private account and billing information is restricted to authorised administration and service processes. No internet service can guarantee complete security. Do not send passwords, card numbers or security codes with an enquiry.
Access, corrections and privacy concerns
Email chris@australiancustomtrucks.com.au or call 0415 264 412 to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, discuss a public listing, or make a privacy complaint. We may need to confirm your identity and authority before releasing private records or changing account access.
Describe the information or listing involved and the outcome you want. We will investigate and respond. If the matter remains unresolved, you can seek information about applicable privacy complaint pathways from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
