KOR Marks 15 Years With 1,000th Cappellotto and 100th Schwarze Milestone

KOR Equipment Solutions has marked 15 years of Australian operations, delivering its 1,000th Cappellotto vacuum truck and 100th Schwarze road sweeper while showcasing local Melbourne vehicle engineering.

KOR Equipment Solutions gathered customers and suppliers in Melbourne during October 2026 to celebrate three operational milestones: 15 years in business in Australia, the handover of its 1,000th Cappellotto vacuum unit, and the delivery of its 100th Schwarze road sweeper.

The event brought together KOR founder and Director Stephen Pewtress, Director Marcus Birrell, Managing Director Jason Wall, and Head of Operations Steve Cusworth, alongside Cappellotto Chief Executive Edoardo Marcon, who travelled from Italy, and Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA) Chief Technical Officer Adam Ritzinger.

Cappellotto vacuum bodies are engineered to mount across a range of heavy truck chassis for industrial tasks including dry vacuum loading, hydro-excavation, drain cleaning, dangerous-goods transport, and water recycling. KOR and HVIA identify water-recycling capabilities among the available equipment options.

Alongside European body fitment, KOR carries out dual-control system engineering locally. The company’s Melbourne engineering team designs and manufactures dual-control steering and operating configurations to adapt Schwarze sweepers for Australian road maintenance and street-sweeping work, allowing driving from both sides of the cab.

Following an inspection of the vehicles at the event, HVIA Chief Technical Officer Adam Ritzinger highlighted both the imported bodywork and the domestic conversions.

Ritzinger praised the Cappellotto products’ manufacturing quality and the design of the local dual-control conversions.

“Not to be outdone though, the dual-control systems on the Schwarze sweepers produced by the local team look every bit original. It is so impressive to have this level of vehicle engineering design and production capabilities right here in Melbourne.”

KOR’s founder Stephen Pewtress, director Marcus Birrell and managing director Jason Wall attended the milestone event, according to HVIA.
