Isuzu recalls 3,710 trucks over brake-light software fault
News · November 1, 2026
Isuzu Australia has recalled 3,710 trucks over a software fault that could prevent vehicle and trailer brake lights from illuminating when a trailer’s electronic braking system activates.
The recall affects selected MY25 FSR, FTS, FVM, FVR, FVZ, FXR, FXM, FXZ and FYH trucks in the 2025–2026 year range. Operators should check the official affected-vehicle identification number (VIN) list rather than assume every vehicle of those models is covered.
According to the Australian Government’s vehicle recall notice, the brake lamps on the vehicle and trailer may not illuminate when the trailer’s Electronic Braking System (EBS) and/or Electronic Vehicle Stability Control (EVSC) system applies the brakes.
This could prevent following motorists from recognising that the combination is braking, increasing the risk of a crash causing serious injury or death.
Isuzu will contact affected owners in writing to arrange the recall work through an authorised Isuzu dealer, free of charge. The official notice does not specify a restriction on continued operation.
The recall is identified as REC-006753, campaign 26-Z-02, and was published on 30 October 2026.
Operators can check the official recall notice and affected VIN list, or find an authorised Isuzu dealer.
