In only its second year Matty Hillcoat’s Truckies’ Day Out has raised a whopping $55,814.45. It is a great community event raising money for a worthy cause.

One of the organisers close to the cause, Dan Hillcoat, says it was a hell of a lot more than what they imagined was possible in just the second year of running the show.

“That’s the official final tally and all of those funds went towards Stamping Out SIDS, through River’s Gift (Australia’s solely SIDS focused charity),” he tells ACT.

“It means a lot to us to hold this event in Matty’s honour and means a tremendous amount to see it supported by so many people – without you all it would not be possible.

“So a massive thanks again to all our valued sponsors, our hardworking crew of volunteers and all those that made the day so special.”
