Freight Assist Australia promotes Dwayne Hayes to chief operating officer
News · October 18, 2026
Freight Assist Australia (FAA Group) has promoted Dwayne Hayes to chief operating officer, effective 5 October 2026, after three years as the company’s general manager.

In announcing the promotion, the national transport and logistics business said Hayes had taken on expanding responsibilities across operations and the wider organisation since joining as general manager in 2023.
The company said the new title recognises his contribution to operational performance, continuous improvement and the development of the business, as well as his role in the group’s future growth.
Before joining Freight Assist Australia, Hayes held roles at Linfox over a period of about nine years, including national business manager.
FAA Group operates transport, warehousing and logistics services across Australia. The company has been investing in its national network and equipment as freight customers seek reliable and efficient transport options.
The appointment was announced publicly by FAA Group via LinkedIn. It is an internal promotion rather than the arrival of a new external executive.
