ACT’s original report records close to 200 trucks and an estimated 14,000 visitors, with community fundraising and an outstanding line-up.

The 2018 Koroit Truck Show was an overwhelming success.

The day was bloody hot once the fog burnt off, almost as hot as the trucks, bikes and cars on display. Organisers estimate close to 200 trucks and 14,000 people came for the show from as far as the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and Western Australia.

The show gets more grand every year and the team that puts it together seem to be more inventive.

Where the bling is concerned, this sort of show is tough to judge because the quality of trucks is just so high.

I applaud the way the judging was done, in separate groups with judges marking on different sections of the vehicle. The results created worthy winners.

Adding to the trick motorbikes in the centre of the oval this year, the kids rides and the model trucks, they were also dunking Yogi as well.

All for a good cause of course.

The money that is poured into the show boosts the region through tourism.

The local clubs also raise funds through supplying food and drinks to the show goers.

The auction, with all items donated, raises much needed funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital. They went as far as getting a car to raffle off and the winner of this was a very lucky Rick Smith. Let’s hope next year the Koroit Truck Show will get all the support it deserves as it celebrates a decade, yes 10 years already. I would like to congratulate the committee on once again providing a great weekend and I am looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
