Lindsay sets staged North Queensland rollout for Primary Connect

Lindsay Australia has brought together Lindsay Transport and SRT Logistics teams to prepare its new secondary freight operation for Primary Connect, with Brisbane, Mackay and Bowen identified as the first service locations.
The company’s induction update identified 5 October as the first service-delivery date. Lindsay subsequently confirmed that pick-up and delivery services had commenced between Brisbane, Mackay and Bowen. Townsville is scheduled to follow in November and Cairns in February 2027, with BIG W services planned from July 2027.
Staff and systems before the next stage
The update described new-starter inductions in Mackay and work across recruitment, operations, safety, training, payroll, IT and fleet teams to prepare the operation.
Robert Miller also described the development of teams, fleet and facilities between Brisbane and Cairns for the Primary Connect contract, and the combined work of Lindsay and SRT personnel.
